What Is the Infinity?

The Infinity water softener is a product that has been produced by one of Harvey & Kinetico’s exclusive dealers. If you aren’t aware already, Harvey and Kinetico are two leading and competing brands in the UK, who offer a range of different water softeners, that are sold through different retailers and distributors. The price of these products are often not allowed to be discounted.

The Infinity, has a twin tank design. It is a mid-range softener, which requires block salt. It has a very similar specification as the Kinetico _Premier Compact – without the brand and guaranteed quality stamp that Kinetico offer. 

Is It the Best Choice for My Home?

This softener is designed for family homes with up to 3 bathrooms. It has an efficient specification but is relatively new to the market and a product sold primarily in the Suffolk region.

Good Specification, Efficient. 

Being from one of Kinetico’s dealers – the infinity has an up-to-date specification and is a pretty efficient model to buy. It is a good home investment that comes with a 10-year warranty.

Higher in Price & Local Product.

The infinity belongs to an exclusive dealer network. It is sold regionally in Suffolk and other southern postcodes. Not only that, but the price from the dealer may have a high added installation cost. Dealers can charge an exceptionally higher price for the water softener installation – in order to make more profit margin. Therefore, the price of the Infinity may vary and in some cases end up being more expensive than the Kinetico Premier Compact – only without the actual brand label.

• Good flow rate and efficiency. A high flow rate of 51L/min.
• Non-electric & twin tank. Efficient in terms of running cost.
• 10-year warranty – provides reassurance of how long it should last. 

The Cons 

• Relatively New. Meaning there is not a lot of product reviews available.
• Regionally available and can come with high installation prices/packages.
• Higher price. The price can actually work our higher than the Premier Compact– not ideal if you’re on a tight budget.
• Not ideal for larger homes with 4 bathrooms. 

Price, Value & Where to Buy

The Infinity water softener is relatively new on the water softener market. Therefore, you won’t find a large number of reviews. It has a good specification, that is well suited for the average family home. It also comes with a 10-year warranty.

However, it is mainly available with installation in the Suffolk region only and the price can work out to be more than the Premier Compact itself.
